Field inspection of switch contact resistance used to involve carrying plenty of gear. Operators needed to bring the testing unit, power cable and power strip, and extension cords were often additionally required. It took time to find accessible sockets on site. Trailing cables on the floor created tripping risks. Cables would twist into knots after collection and had to be untangled before next use.
The HYG-100AT handheld loop resistance tester is powered by lithium battery. Only the main device and one pair of test leads are needed. No power cords, power strips or on-site power sockets are required, and it can be simply put into a bag for travel.
Weighing 2.2 kilograms, it can be held single-handedly. Traditional bulky testers cannot fit into the narrow front space of switch cabinets, while this compact device works well here. Staff can grip the tester with one hand and connect test wires with the other. Test data is displayed immediately after one press, and each measurement completes in 10 seconds to move on to the next unit efficiently.
Four adjustable current gears are available: 30A, 50A, 80A and 100A. Suitable current can be selected based on switch capacity. 30A meets the demand of small switches, and 100A is applicable for large-scale equipment. Featuring a resolution of 0.1 microohm, it can accurately judge contact quality. Its accuracy reaches 1% of reading plus 1 microohm, fully satisfying field testing standards.
Readings remain stable under strong electromagnetic interference. Numerical values on the screen won’t fluctuate even in harsh working environments of substations and power distribution rooms. It can store 100 groups of test data, which can be exported after inspection for trend analysis.
It supports wide-range charging from 100V to 240V, adaptable for use in different regions. A full charge allows more than 500 measurements, enough to cover daily inspection tasks.
