The device under test
The company is the original infrared testing equipment manufacturer, more than 100 years ago, has become synonymous with insulation resistance test.
Most modern infrared testers are digital, portable/handheld units and some versatile capabilities (such as built-in continuity testing).
The test program
First make sure the device is tested and are safe in the working area, such as the device de-energized and disconnected, all relevant work permits have been approved and all locks/labels are approved.
Next, the discharge capacitor electrostatic discharge rod or infrared tester, equipped with the automatic discharge function (especially the high-voltage equipment).
The conductor on the infrared tester, then the conductive part of the connected device.
For example, for the three Core and ground cables, the infrared test (Core 1 Core 2, Core 1 to 3 and Core Core 2 Core 3), each Core and the earth.
Similarly, the IR test of the three-phase motor, circuit breakrs, isolation switch and so on can be applied to the above device terminal (with the earth connection).
Please note that it is a good practice to apply infrared test grounding, and the positive pole of the infrared tester is connected to the earth to avoid any polarization effect on earth.
Once connected, the infrared tester is a typical test that lasts one minute.

When the IR test was completed, the redischarge capacitance was four to five times longer than the duration of the test.
