4. INSTRUCTIONS

1. The tap-changer must be reset before the reverse tap-changer is tested. After discharge, the alarm sound stops and the tap-changer can be switched.

2. Before removing wires, we must wait for the alarm to stop after the discharge, and then remove the wires.

3. When choosing the current, we should refer to the range in the technical index column, and do not use it beyond or under the range. When the range is over, the instrument is always in the "charging" state because the current can not reach the preset value. When such a state occurs, the range should be confirmed and the appropriate current should be selected for testing.

4. Pay attention to the measurement range when using the magnetic assistant method. Because two high-voltage coils are connected in parallel and one in series, the resistance of high-voltage coils is added 1.5 times in the whole test circuit, which should be included in the selection of measuring range. If the output current can't reach the set value or the output current is unstable.

5. It is a normal phenomenon that the short contacts of the three lines of the magnetizing method may have residual current when they are disconnected after discharge, and may be ignited and discharged when they are dismantled.
